  • Debbie Meyer Green Bags work great for me

I buy the large container of grape tomatoes from Costco. They say "Do not refrigerate" so they are on my counter. Before using Debbie Meyer green bags, they would be wrinkly and soft after 6 days. Now that I use the green bags, they are lasting us three to four weeks. On the counter. I just used them for avocados for the first time last week, and they went from beautiful to rotten in the refrigerator in just 3 days. The inside of the bag was damp at the end of the three days. Maybe if I had left them on the counter I would have had a different result. More...

  • Safety warning . . .

"Oya" is a form of zeolite, which is claimed to be non-toxic. Zeolites are "microporous, alumino-silicate minerals commonly used as commercial absorbants." I researched safety of "alumino sliciate" minerals. According to OSHA,they are "responsibly anticipated to be a human carcinogen!" I've returned all bags to Target and continue to buy fresh organic produce, every few days, when store bought nutritional content is at its greatest. More...

  • Produce saver

Using brand new moisture free bags, I am very unhappy to find prime organic avocados in one bag, tomatoes in another bag, Pears in another bag, and bananas in another bag All totally lost to ugly deterioration within 2 weeks - Unbagged, in the refrigerator, they would have remained edible. If the green bags work as claimed, I would save so much time and money as I am away from home for days at a time and don't have lots of time for shopping. More...

  • wasted money

I saw the green bags on tv and had just picked up fruit and vegetables at my local farmers market.I picked up the bags at the nearby retailer, what a waste of my 10 dollars. The nice yellow bannans I purchased that day were brown and spotted by the following morning. The lettuce after 2 days is getting mushy on the outside leaves. Not only did I lose 10 dollars, I lost another 12 dollars in fruits and veggies that rotted prematurly.I am angry at the fact consumers are paying outragouse prices for fruits and vegtables for thier family to be taken by someone pushing a product that actually makes... I loved the bags that I ordered from the tv, and told everyone abut them. However, I just bought some more from the store and they didn't work at all. My daughter had the same trouble. The fruit and veg. spoiled just as fast as if I hadn't used the bad. What is the problem? I would like to get more of the first kind I bought, but will not buy or recommened them until I know why these didn't work

I bought some Debbie Meyer Green Bags, but the package does not include instructions. Should the produce be very dry and should the bags be left closed or open, in the fridge or on the counter.
